- Adrian Phillips and Bill Carr completed the Orpheum Blower reinstallation last week and Pete Knobloch and John Bittner fixed some wiring issues with the new Uniflex relay and the Mighty Wurlitzer is playing once again. Just in time for the upcoming Silent Sundays on October 23rd.
- After a three year hiatus, Beverly Fizzell is bringing the Stop Rail Newsletter back. As it was before publication was suspended, the Newsletter will be produced monthly and distributed to members in the form of a pdf email attachment. Members in good standing without email access can request to receive a printed copy via US Post. The Stop Rail Newsletter, produced by Beverly will compliment our two web based news outlets, The Stop Rail Online, on this website, and Awesome Arizona Theatre Organs, on Facebook, with their existing editors and contributors. Look for the October issue of the Newsletter soon.
- Also back from hiatus is the Fizzell home as a meeting venue. Beverly will be hosting our Christmas Party this year in her home with Johnny Sharp providing the entertainment on the Fizzell theatre pipe organ.
- Speaking of Silent Sundays, did I mention that it's Sunday October 23rd at 2:30 PM? You know that being a VOTS member can save you 25% on your tickets, right?
